As the Trust Data Manager I am responsible for ensuring data is coherent across the all QEGSMAT schools to support school improvement. I have 12 years’ experience working in the education sector. Though I started my journey as a specialist teaching assistant I found that I have an aptitude for working with school systems/solutions and I migrated across to data and information management. I have gained a great wealth of knowledge in many areas of business management in schools and how these areas all interlink. I feel that improving systems, data integrity, communication and efficiency is integral in facilitating a school community to improve and succeed. My genuine passion is supporting school staff to make a difference to children’s lives by ensuring key information is readily available and intelligible.
I became a member of the QEGSMAT team in September 2021 as a Finance Assistant to support the QEGSMAT team. My education started in BTEC Business Studies Level 3, gaining a Double Distinction qualification in 2017. I then went onto further my education and achieved a 2.1 in a BA (Hons) Business Management (Finance) degree in 2021, also studying a CIMA qualification alongside my degree. I am passionate about Finance and developing my education further within this role to not only help with my career development, but to also support the QEGSMAT team.
I became part of QEGSMAT HR Department at the start of September 2021 taking on the exciting role of HR Officer. I have worked in the education sector for the past six years, four of those being in HR. I am thrilled to be continuing my HR journey with QEGSMAT whilst providing support and advice to the school’s and employees within the Trust. During my time in HR, I have completed my Level 3 CIPD qualification and I am working towards gaining my Level 5 as I am keen to continue developing my skills and knowledge.
I joined QEGSMAT after working primarily for Local Authorities in a variety of roles, including waste and recycling, climate change and asset management. As Facilities Manager for the Trust I oversee the general maintenance, upkeep and, health & safety within the schools ensuring they are safe and compliant places to work and learn.
I joined the QEGSMAT Central Team in November 2018 after being a student at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School. I have gained my Level 3 Business qualification and I am now completing a Level 4 School Business Professional apprenticeship. As a Finance Assistant I support both the business and finance functions of the Trust.
With nearly 30 years experience in the Administration/PA role I am responsible for providing support to the CEO, Director of Finance and Operations and the Board of Trustees. As a member of the QEGSMAT Central Team I am continually developing my knowledge and experience whilst hoping to deliver a proficient service to all.
Having gained Triple Distinction* in BTEC Business Level 3, I joined the QEGSMAT Central Team at the beginning of October 2017 and completed my Business Administration Apprenticeship. I am currently completing an Intermediate Level Diploma in Human Resource Management whilst supporting the Business and HR functions within the Trust.
I am an experienced Chartered HR Generalist having spent much of my career within Local Government. I have wide experience dealing with a vast array of HR matters from Employment Cycle, Casework, Pay and Reward, Organisational Design, Restructures, Redundancies, TUPE and Workforce Strategy. I have a firm belief in the ethos of QEGSMAT. I am committed to making sustainable changes within the Trust to improve experiences and educational outcomes for all. I believe in ensuring our biggest resource is supported and developed then we will be able to drive school improvement.
I have 30 years of experience in the Finance Sector. I am continually developing my knowledge and experiences and sharing our good practices and skills across the growing Multi Academy Trust and this is something that I am very proud to be part of.
Over the last 25 years of Primary teaching and 18 years of School Leadership I have always held strong to my belief and passion for wanting the highest possible experiences and education for children of all ages.
As School Improvement Lead, I am fortunate to be able to work and support across a diverse range of schools, with pupils from the age of 2 to 11. I firmly believe that we are only stronger when we work together and this stems from the support children and staff give to one another, the school community, and the support gained from other professionals. My role involves supporting with all aspects of school improvement; curriculum planning, quality assuring teaching and learning, budget planning, staffing structures and offering bespoke professional development to each school.
My work is focussed on creating highly skilled and motivated teams across the schools, who drive school improvement with the support of myself, the governing body and central team.
